made it to Naples

Well, Mads is still in Atlanta, waiting for his connection to Naples...but I have to share my story... The one thing you never want to hear the pilot say is "Ladies and Gentleman, we have lost all electricity in one of our engines and we are going to have to make an emergency landing... The closest airport is Birmingham, Alabama and although it is only 30 minutes from Atlanta, I just do not feel comfortable attempting to get us to Atlanta with this problem!"

UGH!!!

Needless to say, an hour and a half after sitting on the tarmac in Birmingham, we were off.... and most of us on the plane had missed our connections. Thank god, I did make the next flight to Ft. Myers and so did my luggage!!!!

I am now at the LaPlaya Beach Resort on the gulf coast of Naples, all unpacked and ready for a beer!!

I will take pics of the beach later... but for now, I am headed to the BAR for a beer and some food!! Then I will head to pick up Mads at the airport in a little while...he gets in at 9:00... I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE HIM!
