Imagine my surprise when I opened my email today and got this:

It was an awful day.... I was feeling sorry for myself, completely lonely, missing Mads...and worrying about everything under the sun. And I get this email with a subject line of "to my wonderful wife"...and then inside the email was this precious picture......... The day was still rough-- I was still missing him and I was still feeling sorry for myself about being lonely... but I was reminded that I am loved.
This is our first Christmas as Mr. and Mrs. Mads Nørgaard and even though we don't get to be together each day right now, we will be together for Christmas and that is what is important.
So here is my advice to myself (and any of the rest of you that find yourself in the middle of a pity party)....... BE THANKFUL FOR THE LITTLE THINGS...... because they are the things that keep you going. Things like opening an email and finding a picture of the man you love in a Santa hat-- all with the intent of making his wife smile.
It worked.........I did........

That is funny....it made me smile, too...and I ain't his wife! :)
I think seeing a Viking in the wrong hat is supposed to make ya smile!
It is surreal to hear Mads call you his wife!
I am sure you agree!
Viking
+ Santa cap
+ San Antonio Texas T-shirt

Hey, I'm getting mathier. I must be hanging out w/ G too much :-)
Mads is adorable in the Santa hat.
Sorry you have had a rough and sad day :( I hope the next two weeks pass quickly so the two of you can be together again! :)
Thank you for reminding us to be thankful for the little things. Sometimes we focus on only the big things when we should choose to be happy for the blessings we have. God bless you both, and we hope you enjoy this special Christmas season.
Tequila wants to send you a picture of herself in a Santa hat. She says, she is even cuter than Mads in one ;)
