He is MY McLovin.....

Last Tuesday a new movie was released on DVD..... Tuesdays are typically the day for new releases, but Tuesday, December 4 was a special Tuesday.

You see, THIS was the day of the release of SUPERBAD... the way I describe this movie is "40 year old virgin meets Napolean Dynamite"......



Mads and I saw this movie in September with Dustin and Shelly...... Shelly had already seen it once and promised us we would laugh our asses off...and as usual, she was right!! ☺ We laughed until we cried. This movie had every geeky, dorky and disgusting thing related to high school boys... Shelly and I laughed because we have taught boys like these....Dustin and Mads?? Well, I think they, like all red-blooded men, have, at some point in their lives, BEEN boys like these! It was an amazing afternoon of mindless humor.

Well, since that movie made its mark on our lives, there has been one key phrase that has not been forgotten...even months later. One character in the film was the ULTIMATE DORK.... the kind of kid who receive wedgies from the football players on a regular basis. Well this kid was determined to become cool and at the age of 17, what makes you more cool than a FAKE ID?? Having spent many years around teens, as well as being one, I know that one usually attempts to get a fake id that looks somewhat like yourself, right?
Well..... the fake ID belonged to a 26 year old, organ donor from Hawaii...named McLovin. No first name, no last name...just McLovin. Kind of like Cher or Prince.... Just McLovin.

Well, McLovin became the focus of the entire movie.
and of our conversations that day and for months to follow!

So I dedicate this post to my own McLovin... the man of my dreams. He may not be from Hawaii and I have no clue if he is an organ donor, but I love him....and he will be here, with me, in only NINE DAYS!!
