Min mest vigtig bog er min først udgave "To Kill a Mockingbird" skrev af Harper Lee.

The Little House in the Big Woods.... den først bog i den series af Laura Ingalls Wilder.

The English Version:
My favorite thing to do when I was growing up was to read....and it still is. I read all the time--in bed, the bathtub, at dinner, at church, at school when I was not supposed to be reading... I read everywhere! I love books and in fact, many of my favorite books have already been sent to my new home in Denmark....including my most favorite book--a first edition copy of Harper Lee´s To Kill a Mockingbird.
I remember all of the books I read growing up and all of the authors of those books, including Laura Ingalls Wilder. And I got quite a surprise concerning Laura Ingalls Wilder last Sunday when I went to my Danish lesson with Tine.
Each week Tine gives me grammar practice pages to do after our class so I can practice my grammar all week but last Sunday she gave me something different... a copy of Wilder´s first book in her series: The Little House in the Big Woods IN DANISH! I could not believe it! I was so excited. She said this would help improve my Danish and that I was ready for this challenge.
That night I wrote Mads about the book and how excited I was...and then I started reading it. Today I had an even bigger surprise when Mads called me to tell me that he had been shopping at the book store in Herning....and had bought me book 2 and 3 in the same series! And that they would be waiting for me when I arrived in Herning in three weeks! I cannot wait! Do I not have the sweetest husband??!!

Yes, you have the sweetest husband! We must agree. After all, he is being so thoughtful of you in every way! Congrats to you for deciding that your Danish guy is the right guy for you! We can tell that he loves you a lot!
How cool! Enjoy your books!
Little House! Little House!! OMGOMGOMG Little House!!! I watch that show ALL THE TIME. Almanzo was smokin' hot!
Hi Kelli -
That's great about the book and even better that Mads thought of getting the next two in the series for you.
Tak for writing in Danish and English for this post... I practiced reading the Danish version and then checked to see how I did vs the English version.
Enjoy the books!

Yes, Kelli, you do have a great hubby. That was very, very cool of him! He still meets my approval!! :) So, enjoy your new books!
I remember the days when she would read all the time and Laura Ingall Wilder was one of her favorite authors. I'm gonna miss this girl!
I love those books! I recently re-read Little House in the Big Woods (in English, of course.) ;)
(How long does it take you to write the Danish part of your blog entry?)
