Klar at tage til Danmark i torsdag med Albert og Emmitt....ikke at besøge Mads.... at tage min kæledyr at bor i vores ny hjem.... men husker, jeg kommer tilbage Dallas i næste mandag uden dem. Jeg ved Mads skal sørge for dem....men jeg ved også hvor ensom jeg skal være i Dallas uden dem.....
Jeg begyndte at få klar til denne tur i februar men du må huske alt problemerne jeg havde! Jeg lærte kæledyr kan ikke flyve fra Texas i juni....fordi det er MEGET VARMT! Så Mads og jeg lavede en ny plan!
Hvilken mener....jeg havde at lave en "AT LAVE" liste så jeg glemter ikke noget.
Min liste er næsten færdig....
1. Vælger en dag at flyver FØR temperaturen i Dallas er mere end 85F. GJØRT!
2. Køber en flyvemaskine billet for mig. GJØRT!
3. Ringer NWA og laver forbehold i Albert og Emmitt på den samme billet. GJØRT!
4. Får alle papirerne jeg har brug for før min kæledyr kan komme til den E.U. GJØRT!
5. Tager både dyr til dyrlæge at få VACCINATIONS og MICROCHIPS. GJØRT!
6. Sender dyrlæges papirer til U.S.D.A. at tage bifald fra dem. GJØRT!
7. Register den MICROCHIP nummer for både dyr. GJØRT!
8. Laver kopier af alle papirer for E.U. og lufthaven. GJØRT!
9. Køber "kennels" stor nok for Albert og Emmitt at stille ind. GJØRT!
10. Ringer Dallas og Amsterdam og Billund lufthavener at bekræfte Albert og Emmitts billeter. GJØRT!
11. Tager både dyr tilbage til dyrlæge for en sidste exam en uge før turen. GJØRT!
12. Laver "kennels" og mad og tæpper klar for hver af dem. GJØRT!
13. Fryser vandbowler for torsdag. GJØRT!
14. Fortæller mig at stoppe græder om denne. IKKE GJØRT......
15. Stopper synes om næste mandag når jeg kommer tilbage Dallas uden dem. IKKE GJØRT.
Det skal være O.K. snårt men ikke endnu....
"Ready for what?" you ask.
Ready to go to Denmark with Albert and Emmitt on Thursday....not to visit Mads...but to take my pets to live in our new home. But remember, I will come back to Dallas next Monday without them. I know Mads will take good care of them, but I also know how lonely I will be when I return to Dallas without them.
I began to get ready for this trip in February, but you may remember all the problems I had! I learned that pets cannot fly from Texas in June because it is too hot. So Mads and I had to make a new plan.
Which means I had to make a TO DO list so I do not forget something! My list is almost finished.
1. Choose a day to fly from Dallas before the temps are more than 85F. DONE!
2. Buy a ticket for me. DONE!
3. Call NWA and make a reservation for Albert and Emmitt on the same ticket. DONE!
4. Get all the papers I will need for my pets to come to the European Union. DONE!
5. Take both animals to the vet for their vaccinations and microchips. DONE!
6. Send the vet´s papers to the USDA to get their approval. DONE!
7. Register the microchips for each pet. DONE!
8. Make copies of all the papers for the EU and the airport. DONE!
9. Buy kennels big enough for Albert and Emmitt to stand in them. DONE!
10. Call Dallas and Amsterdam and Billund airports to confirm Albert and Emmitt´s tickets. DONE!
11. Take both animals back to the vet for a last exam before the trip. DONE!
12. Make the kennels and food and blankets ready for each of them. DONE!
13. Freeze their water bowls for Thursday. DONE!
14. Tell myself to stop crying about this. NOT DONE....
15. Tell myself to stop thinking about next Monday when I come back to Dallas without them. NOT DONE....
It will be ok soon....but not yet.

I'm so excited for you and know everything will be ok. Mads did such an excellent job with the fence for Albert & Emmitt.. they're going to love their new home as much as you will :-)

I know it will be hard to come back without them, but just think, after the boys get here, over half of your life is already in Denmark! Really, the only thing that will be missing after Monday..is you! :)
And you'll be here soon enough. Just think, It's already been about 48 days since we came to Allen to meet Shelly and your parents!

I totally understand your pain. I can only imagine if I fell in love with a hot Danish guy...and then he proposed to me, and then we got married, and then he built all these things for me (shoe racks, fences)...I would be feeling down in the dumps too ;-D J/K....
No seriously, I feel your pain. You feel like they will be sad without you and that you are deserting them...but just remember, in reality...you are getting off the hook. Mads is going to have to be the one to clean up all their piss the first two months as they attempt to mark their territory :D
I can bring over Tequila to cheer you up...the drink or the dog, which ever you prefer.
