Texas Vejr eller Denmark Vejr??!!

Texas weather or Denmark weather??!!

KONSEKVENS? NEJ!!!!!! ALDRIG!!!!!!

The Danes get alot of grief about their weather....but Denmark has 1 thing Texas does not....CONSISTENCY. The Danes know what kind of weather comes in November....what kind of weather to expect in March....and what kind of weather is normal in July. But what about Texas? CONSISTENCY? NO!!!!! NEVER!!!!!

December in Texas can have days with snow, days with rain and days with 80 degrees F. You never know what the weather will be when you wake up. You never pack away your winter clothes in April...and you never pack away your summer clothes in October. Just about when you think you don´t need them , the Texas weather changes.

FX: Igår i Allen.... Min lejlighed ser normal. Solen er ud og liv er godt.

For example: Yesterday in Allen.... My apartment looks normal. The sun is out and life is good.

Til vi gik til seng.... Until we went to bed.....

The weather man said we could have a stormy night but you never know what to believe! At 4am this morning, I woke up because the wind was so loud! Jess and I live upstairs and I worried what we could do if the tornado siren blew. There was so much rain and wind....I felt our apartment move with the wind....it was so scary! I have lived in Texas all my life but I will never get used to tornado season. I hate it! Albert and Emmitt and I laid in the bed from 4am until 6am....listening to the rain and wind. And this is what we saw around our apartment when the sun came out this morning.

Jess did not have school today because five Allen schools did not have electricity (but my school had it so I had to work!!) and now, at 8pm tonight, her school does not have electricity yet!

So.....Texas weather or Denmark weather?? I choose six months of winter instead of tornadoes.....but you may have to remind me about this blog post in January 2009 if I am complaining about Denmark´s weather!!

Hmm...danger of impending wind vortex of doom/death or 6 months of brrr...

I still love warm weather!

(But I hate tornadoes! My dog, Van Gogh, and I spent 4am Thursday curled up on the utility room floor!)

Luckily, it didn't come near Dave and the animals in Bells.

Holy Cow!! That is some damage!
Stupid 'ol tornadoes!

I agree with you though, I prefer the consistency of the danish weather than the snow one day shorts the next day kind of weather in Texas.

You really thing you'll enjoy the winter here. Our first two winters here I LOVED and had so much fun and the dark didn't bother me too much. It wasn't until this year, that I had a HUGE problem with the weather. Last summer was really bad in Copenhagen (unseasonably cold and many many days of rainy weather) so it felt like 15 months of winter for us, which wasn't fun and probably where most of my griping stemmed from.

My fingers are crossed for a LOVELY summer for me AND for you :)
