For nogen, det er at finde en vis købmand. For nogen, det er at finde en speciel restaurant hvilken har vis mad og for andre, det er at finde en favorit sko butik....men for mig (Jo, jeg ved du er overraskelede det er ikke en sko butik for mig!)... for mig, det var MEGET VIGTIGT at finde en Kerastase frisør salon hvor jeg kan stole på nogen med mit hår! Jeg ønskede en plads ligesom Eaton Court (eller bedre!!) og jeg fandt det! Nødt til ting: masse folie, lækker varm kaffe, en lille samtale med tid at læse også, massage stoler, og høj kvalitet hår produkter. Jeg er lykkelig for at meddele POUL M Salon og min ny hår ekspert, Mette, har alting på min liste!
Every woman has something important to her when she moves to a new town...
For some, it is to find a certain grocer. For some, it is to find a particular restaurant which has certain foods and for others, it is to find a favorite shoe store...but for me (Yes, I know you are surprised it is not a shoe store for me!)... for me, it was VERY IMPORTANT to find a hair salon where I can trust someone with my hair! I wanted a place like Eaton Court (or better!!) and I found it! Necessary things: lots of foil, yummy hot coffee, a little conversation with time to read also, massage chairs, and high quality hair products. I am happy to report that POUL M Salon and my new hair stylist, Mette, have everything on my list!

Was it expensive to go to that hairdresser? It was quite difficult for me to find an affordable but good hairdresser here in Copenhagen
You've convinced me to give the place a try. I see it every time I'm in Herning center but I'm always too scared to go in!

Not sure how you do your color...but mine is always either Partial Highlights and Roots or Full Highlights and Roots (only do this one about every 5th time).
Price in DKK today was 715DKK which was about $145 American dollars... includes the MOMS (taxes) which is almost exactly what I would have paid in the states because partial highlights are $110 plus you tip 20%..so that is about $135 or 675DKK. So for me, this was a very fair price...
also, includes the blow dry and full finish...
And PING.. Ask for Mette if you go...she was GREAT!
I never had a good hairdresser...I don't know how to bound with one. I used go to Chinatown to get haircuts because it's cheaper, but the quality was obviously poor. Do you have to tip hairdressers in DK?
you don´t tip ANYone in DK! It has taken me many many months to get that idea in my head...and still today, I asked the girl if that was proper etiquette...
in the US, they just EXPECT TIPS ... cab drivers, pizza delivery men and even the car hops at Sonic! Here, Mads will not let me ... we had a bartender one night in CPH that was AMAZING..entertained us for hours and kept the drinks coming. I told Mads we HAD to tip him.. he agreed but said NO MORE than 10%! LOL

Why would you say that about your mom - I'm not against tipping...just don't believe in giving them 20% as a minimum - you & your dad always tip too much!
OK, forget the hairdresser. I want to know how you found a shirt with a picture of that bizarre silver hair dryer on it. Did they give them to you free with purchase at the salon?
I don't like tiping really. People are always hungry for more money, but it's hardly called service.

It sounds like a great place you've found! Massage chairs! I have never heard of a salon having those.
And the price is very reasonable for Denmark. I've paid double that a few times.
We usually tip in restaurants here - about 15%.
My brother-in-law was a bartender for years and says it is actually quite common for Danes to tip.
