Jeg elsker at være udenfor ... I love to be outside
Mine forældre var meget overraskelsede for at høre "jeg elsker at være udenfor" fordi i Texas, jeg hadede det! LOL Men jeg forklarede til jer begge to jeg elsker det i Danmark fordi det er ikke 100 grader F udenfor her! Kigge på i dags opdagelser!

Hey, I've been there! It is even more lovely in person...and the smells...my goodness the smells in that place were divine!
I'm glad you find the slugs cool. I find them revolting... especially when they are eating each other...have you seen that yet?? ewe...
Okay -- those brown snails are wild! What does Albert think of them? For some reason I imagine my dogs doing very bad things to them because they tend to go off on moving targets. Tho that snail does haul, I'd imagine they are rather preyed upon by dogs and cats...or maybe not -- none of my dogs ever bother frogs.
I, too, love looking at nature -- on my walks with my dog, we see many, many bunnies and field mice. But McK certainly has nothing like the topiary in the park you were in or that lavender. Lavender is one of my favorite essential oils!

ok, Albert totally ignores them! Last night they were all over the walking paths so we had to be careful...he sniffed one and then moved on! But today I noticed that the birds in the park were swooping down toward them.... circle of life, I guess!
Although I have not witnessed them eating each other... Thanks Nichole, now I have something new to look down on the ground for! now THAT would be a great video! LOL
and yes, they are Dræbersnegle! "killer snails"... lol Mads said it is because they are impossible to kill in your garden! Guess they are the Danish version of Texas grub worms!

I remember the first time I saw those giant snails it kinda freaked me out. Hmm I don't think I'll be watching your video of them eating each other.
Those snails are freakish. They're moving about as fast as the construction at school.
I, too, love lavender... I have lavender hand lotion that I put on every night at bedtime, lavender bath salts, lavender candles... I can only imagine how great it must smell in that garden.

How fun that you and your mom are like me and my mom! My mom loves roasting in saunas or the burning sun and I prefer "T-shirt and jeans weather".
My national pride makes me happy that we give you comfortable temperatures.

I just saw all the lavender in Nichole's pictures. Beautiful! If you haven't already looked it up or heard - we call it "lavendel".
OK Kelli - that is not a snail, it is a slug. And if you want to see lots of slugs and/or snails then come to British Columbia. This is really funny - Paige's Grade 2 class made "snaileries", that's where you take a 2litre pop bottle, cut a door in it, put it on its side and fill it with leaves and dirt. Then you add a snail - don't forget to feed it everyday (leftover vegetables and eggshells for calcium) and mist it with water. Then when your snail lays eggs you set them free ! Wierd eh?
