Klar for København .... Ready for Copenhagen

Dag 2 -hjemme i Herning ... Day 2 -at home in Herning
We had an easy day on Friday because we have many busy days in front of us in Copenhagen and Amsterdam. We showed Stephen around Herning and bought Jess her favorite Danish lunch, “The Viking Pizza”. We took Albert to the dog forest and he led us around. (and of course, we followed!) It was a nice day that helped us to be ready for our trip on Saturday to Copenhagen.

Dag 3 -Tur til København .... Day 3 -Trip to Copenhagen
After breakfast with Thomas and Taimi (who are babysitting Albert while we travel), we drove to Copenhagen to show Stephen all the things about Denmark´s capital city. We arrived just in time to watch the “Changing of the Guard” at Amalienborg Castle (where the queen lives). We took a canal tour through Copenhagen, saw the Little Mermaid, walked through Nyhavn and shopped on Strøget.

En kvinde vi så i Magasin... A lady we saw in Magasin

og Kelli følte MEGET patriotisk ... and Kelli felt VERY patriotic

At 6pm, we met Nichole and Michael for dinner at Spiseloppen, my most favorite restaurant in the world. It is located in Christiania, Denmark´s “free city”, and although Spiseloppen translates as “Eat Fleas”, we LOVE it! The chef changes the menu every week and makes the most delicious dishes! EVERYTHING is very delicious and not like food anywhere else!
After dinner, all 6 of us drove to Lyngby (in Mads´ CiVIC), where Nichole and Michael live. They offered for us to stay with them before our trip to Amsterdam early Sunday. It was a very fun night….because we played “GUITAR HERO” for many hours. I never play video games, but I actually liked it! Not as much as Mads, of course, but it was really great!

How long did it take you to drive to Kobenhavn? It must be a long trip. Sounds like you all have a lot of fun and I laughed when I saw the picture of you with the lady in American flag shirt.

This is a hilarious post!!! The picture of you with the woman in the Stars and Stripes top is SO funny!

Also the one of Mads and Stephen in the shoe store!

And I wish that the picture of Nichole and Mads with the guitars were a video!

You've mentioned several good places to eat in this blog. I'll hve to remember them for when I in Kbh. or Herning again.

I love the idea of a restaurant where the menu always changes. It makes sense because people won't get sick of it; and you could have the specials be some standard favorites!

Mads's name on a store looks cool. They should sell very fashionable little Mads dolls there...wow, okay..that would be crazy.

Guitar Hero is so fun! I also like playing Rock Band b/c you can sing, play guitar, or drums. Geek^5!!!

Have fun in Amsterdam!
