onsdag, d. 13 august, kl. 12.00- Jeg modtog 2 stykke nyheder--min fars operation var rigtig godt og min MoMo gik til himmel.
fredag, d. 15 august-- Min søster og jeg tog til Houston og kørte med vores fættere til Nederland til MoMos begrævelse og "rosary", men min mor kan ikke tage fordi hun må være med min far. Jess kan ikke tage, også, fordi hun har et nyt job og allerede tog ferie dage for fars operation.

I am in a Houston hotel, and will fly to Denmark in about four hours. The last weeks have been so difficult...with many hard things for my family to experience. But WE ARE OK TODAY...actually, we are BETTER THAN OK.

Wednesday, Aug 13 at 7am--My dad has a 5-bypass operation
Wednesday, Aug 13 at noon--I received two pieces of news--my dad´s surgery was a great success and my MoMo went to heaven.
Friday, Aug 15--My sister and I fly to Houston and then drive with our cousins to Nederland for MoMo´s funeral and rosary, but my mom cannot come because she must be with my dad. Jess can also not come because she has a new job and already took days off this week for Dad´s operation.

Min mor tog min far hjemme i aftes! Fire dage efter hans operation og han er hjem og føler rigtig godt!
Også, kørte Jess og Stephen til Houston i eftermiddag for at møde mig her! Jeg var MEGET MEGET LYKKELIG!! Vi handlede i "Woodlands mall", vi spiste i PF CHANGS og vi kørte til IKEA! Deres besøg var netop jeg har brugte for!
My mom took my dad home last night! Four days after his operation and he is home and feeling great! Also, Jess and Stephen drove to Houston yesterday afternoon to meet me here! I was VERY VERY HAPPY! We shopped at the Woodlands Mall, we ate at PF CHANGS and we went to IKEA! Their visit was exactly what I needed!

Jess og jeg spiser nøddesmør og frugt (som vi tog fra den morgenmad buffet! LOL) i et hotel værelse ... Jess and I eating peanut butter and fruit (which we took from the breakfast buffet! LOL) in the hotel room!
Min først BAD siden jeg flyttede fra Texas i juni (fordi Danmark er landet med brusebader! LOL) My first BATH since I moved from Texas in June (because Denmark is the country of showers! LOL)!!
Efter tager jeg til Danmark, jeg skal skriv om vores weekend med vores familie. Vi havde mange dejlig tidspunkt sammen, husker MoMo, og jeg skal holde dem i mit hjerte for mit hele liv. Men nu... det er tid for mig at tage hjem.
After I get back to Denmark, I will write about our weekend with our family. We had so many precious moments together, remembering MoMo, and I will treasure them in my heart for the rest of my life. But now...it is time for me to go home.

Kelli, we have thought so very much about you and your family this past week. We are glad that you were able to come to MoMo's funeral and celebration of her life. We know that your mom's heart was aching knowing that she could not come to her own mother's funeral. Nobody should have to make that choice. Our best wishes go with you back to Denmark.
Augusts has been a very emotional month for our entire family...but we are strong people with a strong faith and we are doing good! Glad you could come for the funeral, but sad that your trip was so short. We will see you soon! Love ya!
Gosh, there has been so many things happening that I was unaware about- having been overseas and catching up on your blog in bits and pieces in those Thai internet cafes where the connection is really poor. We should definitely get together soon and talk.
