When I was a little girl, my family drove the roads in Texas many, many times. Since Texas is so big, you could drive 10 hours and still be in Texas, but on our trip this weekend, we drove 10 hours and passed through 3 countries! I loved it! So many things to look at, but the best thing.....THE LICENSE PLATES!! In Texas, you may see 3 or 4 other states´ license plates, but on our trip, I saw license plates from EIGHTEEN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES! I realize I am a little crazy, but I thought it was so awesome to write down each country I saw!
En typisk nummerplad fra en EU land ... A typical license plate from an EU country

På min list er/On my list are:
L ... Luxembourg / Luxembourg
D ... Tyksland / Germany
F ... Frankrig / France
NL ... Nederland / Netherlands
DK ... Danmark / Denmark
B ... Belgien / Belgium
GB ... Storbritannien / Great Britain (og ja, bilens rat var på den højre! ... and yes, the car´s steering wheel was on the right!)
IRL ... Irland / Ireland
SLO ... Slovakiet / Slovakia
PL ... Polen / Poland
A ... Østrig / Austria
S ... Sverige / Sweden
LT ... Litauen / Lithuania
R ... Rumænien / Romania
I ... Italien / Italy
E ... Estland / Estonia
plus 2 fra IKKE EU lander ... plus 2 from NON EU countries
N ... Norge / Norway
UR ... Ukraine / Ukraine
I also learned about driving from one EU country to another. It is as easy as driving from Texas to Oklahoma because there are no border offices between EU countries. Here is what you find at the border between Germany and Denmark. To us....after 2387 kilometers, it said "WELCOME HOME!"

Next time you'll have to award points (lowest to most common and highest to the rarest - like MC). I can imagine Mads smiling nervously as you yelled, "Look, Czech Republic!"
On another note, I realised I felt DK was becoming 'home' when I started returning from trips to other countries and felt 'glad' seeing the windmills in the water and the big chimney stacks of the power station as you come into land. Then you can walk straight up to the (uncrowded) metro and be home in 15 minutes.
license plate game euro style... I dig it! The more you travel you can also award points to finding plates to countries you have been in! :)
