Today in the park I saw more and more signs of fall around me.
But it felt like something was missing.... but what?
Leaves were changing from green to yellow, brown, red and orange.
The air was crisp.
Children played outside wearing jackets.
And acorns covered the ground.
Så jeg kendte hvad var manglende... EGERNE!!
Then I knew what was missing....THE SQUIRRELS!!
I remember the first time Mads saw a squirrel in Texas because he became SO excited! I thought he was crazy, until I learned that is very rare to see a squirrel in Denmark! But now my curiosity is peaked... because if we don´t have many squirrels in Denmark, who eats all the acorns??!! Or will we have about 48,000,000 new oak trees in Denmark?

That is the saddest thing I've ever heard.
Don't tell Mads my husband shoots squirrels in the backyard with a BB gun!
(Oh the joys of Texas men......!)
miss ya
Without a doubt one of the best things about Denmark. A lifetime ago I had a bad combination of two red squirrels and two chipmunks in my basement...it was NOT GOOD. Hurra, hurra for no squirrels!
