I think that it rains more in Denmark than all other countries in the world....
Ok, maybe not ALL THE COUNTRIES, but it does rain ALOT...daily...sometimes hours and hours and hours without stopping. Every morning, when I wake up, I just expect to hear rain outside our bedroom window. It is just part of life in Denmark.
Men regnen stopper ikke Danskerne. De går videre med livet, som normalt. Hvis de cykler når rengen begynder, stopper de, tager regntøj fra deres rygsæk, sætter plastiske poser på cykelstol, og cykler igen! De er forbløffende...
But the rain does not stop the Danes. They go on with life, as normal. If they are riding their bikes when the rain starts, they stop, take their raingear from their backpack, cover their seats with plastic bags, and start riding again. They are amazing....
En god ting med regn.... Regnbuer. Jeg har set mere regnbuer i min 4 1/2 måneder bor i Danmark, end jeg har set i mit hele liv. De minder om mig--REGNEN SKAL SLUTTE...endelig!
One good thing about rain... Rainbows. I have seen more rainbows in my 4 1/2 months living in Denmark, than I have seen in my entire life. They remind me--THE RAIN WILL STOP....eventually!
Jeg tog disse billeder i tirsdag (Ja, imens jeg kørte!!) i Ikast, en by som ligger 8 km. fra Herning.
I took these pictures Tuesday (yes, while I was driving!!) in Ikast, a town about 5 miles from Herning.

In the time I lived north of Seattle and since having moved to Denmark - these two places have an incredible number of rainbows and I'm with you - they are absolutely beautiful. And seeing a double rainbow isn't all that uncommon either. Very cool!
Lovely shots. Danes are almost like Montrealers, who will go out despite being -30c outside.
so true. i've never seen so many rainbows in my life either. i'm always pointing and smiling while the Danes around me just keep on truckin' - they're so used to it but I think I will always take joy in them.
Rain in DK is nothing compared to rain in my country. You can stand outside for only 5 seconds and get soaked from top to toe. Here you can walk for miles without getting wet.
Help - driving while in snapping shots!
Lovely rainbows, though!
I love your attitude about all the changes in your life! Just remember that you can always "bring your weather with you." Your beautiful smile is like sunshine and will light up any room the minute you enter.
Pretty pretty rainbows!! By the sounds of it, I don't see near as many rainbows over here as you do over there. I'm sure they help make rainy rainy days a little more pretty!
I think you're right and I love that it does. I come from a place where rain is getting scarcer and scarcer - alarmingly so. So, I never once since I've been here - even on my birthday which was hellish weather - begrudge it. And, of course, there are the rainbows...
Sending you a touch of Halloween...You've been Boo'd; come over and see what I'm talking about!
