Every time we turn on our television, I am embarrassed by news of the Election 2008... usually concerning Sarah Palin. In the eyes of many Danes and other Europeans, the American election is entertainment. From the electoral college to "Election 2000 and Florida" to the use of Mudslinging as the greatest political strategy... and I could go on and on... It makes me sad to look at our election process through "foreign eyes" because I realize how FAR from our forefathers´ intentions we have strayed.
Men ENDELIG, i går, noget god.
Noget smart.
Noget jeg var STOLT at se på vores fjernsyn.
But FINALLY, something good.
Something smart.
Something I was PROUD to see on the tv.

The video doesn't work...
All I want to say is that I'm very surprised by this.
the video works for me... not sure what the glitch is, Bluefish.
If anyone else has an issue with it, please let me know...
The video works fine for me.
And I understand why you're proud. What a well-thought, well-spoken and rational endorsement! I wish this kind of reasoning was all that the presidential campaign was about...
Great post and interesting to see how everyone outside the US views our elections.
Actually, it will be fun to see what Mac thinks of all the election coverage we have on our tv when he visits... and being in DC it is prob overload compared to other cities! lol
The Collin Powell endorsement was a great thing for Obama! :-)
@ bluefish: maybe you didn't have Flashplayer on your pc to view from msnbc website.

Finally! Colin Powell has put into words, what I have had on my heart. Thanks General Powell.
I saw this on CNN last night and screamed THANK GOD at the television. I pray that this election goes AS IT SHOULD on November 4.
Well, I mean...it goes without saying really...anyone with the last name Powell is bound to be thoughtful, intelligent, and well spoken ;p
(P.S. For those of you that read this comment other than Kelli, my last name is Powell)
I finally saw the video on www.perezhilton.com Hehehe...I'm a gossip junkie.
Did you see Sarah Palin on SNL?
The General always made sense and that hasn't changed. Personally - although I'm not American - I always thought *he'd* make a good President.
I found this photo that Gen.Powell referenced. Didn't know if you'd seen it.
