Have you ever had someone visit you that has never been to your house before? Of course, everyone has! Have you ever had someone visit you who has never been to your town before? Of course, most of us have! But have you ever had someone visit you who has never been to your continent before? This will happen to me on Friday and I am so excited that I cannot even explain it!
My parents are coming to Herning on Friday! They have never flown on an international flight before, so this will be an adventure for them. I have told them everything they need to know on a 9 hour flight, about how to go through passport control in Schipol Airport in Amsterdam, and have to expect when they arrive in the Billund Airport. You can be sure that on Friday at 10am, I will be in Billund, with my Danish flags and a big smile on my face! They will be with us for ten days until they return to Texas on November 30, so we have plenty of time to show them my new home in Denmark. This is only their first of many more trips to Denmark, so I want everything to be easy and fun for them. We are having a “Welcome to Denmark” party for them on Friday evening with friends and family and I am so excited to have “my two worlds” meet each other!

That's very exciting. I'm sure they'll enjoy Denmark.
Wow! So much excitement for you and them. I'm excited for you!
WOW!! Their first international flight - hope it is the first of many!
And is Billund Airport your nearest? A couple of years back I did a writing job for LEGO and spent many weeks flying in and out of Billund. They put us up in the LEGO hotel, but unfortunately, this was in November so Legoland itself was shut!
How wonderful! Hope you guys have great time!
i'm so excited for all of you. i remember how much it meant when melynee came and visited me in china. i know what it feels like to want to show them absolutely everything you love about the place you're living and share all of your favorite people and places with them. i hope you guys have a blast!
Wow...that is so exciting! I remember when I lived in Denmark and my sister came to visit. We had so much fun, and I really enjoyed showing her around.
Have fun with your parents!!
So sorry I forgot to comment about this in my email to you this morning, I was on my way to work, so I just wrote quickly. I'm sure your parents will have a blast if they are open to the European lifestyle. My grandmother wondered if we had microwaves and laundry machines and such when she came over...would have thought we lived in a third world country!!! Not only will your parents have a great time visiting a new continent but I'm sure seeing you will be the best part of the whole trip for them!! Enjoy yourselves!!!
Aww...that's awesome :) Enjoy every minute. My 70 year old dad came to visit me last summer with his 39 year old girlfriend (gaffaw!) but my mama hasn't been here yet. I wish she would.
I'm so excited for all of you!! I have no doubt you all will make memories that will last a lifetime.
My grandma is coming to see Denmark for the first time too!! It's very exciting to show off Denmark.(and her Denmark born granddaughter for the first time too!!!!)
