Glædelig Jul fra Herning ... Merry Christmas from Herning

I dag er den 24. december, Juleaften, i Danmark.
Vi hedder den 25. "Første Juledag" og den 26. "Anden Juledag", 2 meget vigtige dage i Danmark, men den meste vigtig Jul dag er i dag... JULEAFTEN!

Today is December 24, Christmas Eve, in Denmark.
We call December 25 "First Christmas Day" and December 26 "Second Christmas Day", two very important days in Denmark, but the most important Christmas day is today....Christmas Eve! Shops and offices are closed all 3 days, unlike in America, where we use the 24th to finish our Christmas shopping and the 26th to exchange and/or return Christmas gifts!
This afternoon we are going to church as a family and then all the Nørgaards will come together for Christmas Eve....including Christmas dinner with duck, dancing around the Christmas tree and Christmas gift exchange, plus many other things that Jess and I will learn as we experience our first Danish Christmas.

Glædelig Jul fra vores familie til jeres /
Merry Christmas from our family to yours

Mads, Kelli, Jessica, Albert og Emmitt

Merry Christmas to you too! Christmas Eve is also the most important day here in Sweden, although shops do open on Boxing Day.

We've eaten our Christmas meal, opened presents and, of course, watched Donald Duck ( a huge must here in Sweden).

Have a great Christmas!
