Sidste to uger, har vi taget mange ture igennem skovene som er omkring Herning. Jeg elsker disse ture! Jeg elsker at trække ind den friske, kolde luft. Jeg elsker at se det forbløffende landskab. Jeg elsker når min svigermor underviser mig navnene og historier af ting at vi finder i skoven. Og jeg elsker at se hvor spændt Albert er HVER GANG vi går! Faktisk jeg synes at måske han elsker skoven mere end mig!
The last two weeks we have gone on several walks through the forests which are around the Herning area. I love these walks! I love to breathe in the fresh, cold air. I love to
see the amazing landscape. I love when my 
mother in law teaches me the names and stories about things we find in the forest. And I love to see how excited Albert is EVERY TIME we go! In fact, I think that he just might love the forest more than I do!
Vi er så heldig at have så mange forksellig skove så tæt på til vores hus, og jeg er sikker på at jeg kunne bo i Danmark for mit hele liv og stadig ikke besøge alle skove her!
We are so lucky to have so many different forests so near our home, and I am quite certain that I could live in Denmark my entire life and still not visit all of the forests here!
Vi så flok af svane i fredags, flyver henover. Jeg havde aldrig set noget ligesom dette......jeg har kun set gæs før! Jeg kan ikke blive vant til hvor tit jeg ser svane i Danmark.... De er så smukke!

We saw this flock of swans flying overhead. I had never seen something like this before... I have only seen this with geese! I still cannot get used to how many swans there are in Denmark.... they are everwhere and are so beautiful!
Alle 3 drenge løber fra skoven til bilen.....imens Taimi og jeg tager vores tid! Vi håbte at de ville opvarmer bilen for us! :o)

Mads har fortalte mig om skoleklasser at han havde i Herning hvor lærerne bragt børne ud i skoven for at undervise dem om natur i Danmark. Han har mange gode hukommelser fra disse lektier..... og lærte så mange ting. Nu det er min tur at lære! At se skoven ændrer sig fra sommer til efterår til vinter.... det er SÅ forbløffende.... og jeg kan ikke vente at se det ændrer sig igen når forår ankommer!
Mads has told me about classes he had in school in Herning where the teachers would bring the children out into the forest to teach them about Denmark´s nature. He has so many good memories from these lessons....and learned so many things! Now it is my turn to learn! To see the forest change from summer to fall to winter.....has been so amazing! And I cannot wait to see it change again when spring arrives!

Oh - I love all your pictures! I love the woods when they are cold and frosty (so does the dog)...
It is very very cold here and snow here in the woods, so I'll have to wait until it's less icy to venture out.
It's amazing to see how green and snow-free your woods are.
Aren't the forests so pretty with all the frost out there? Unreal sites and the pictures can't quite do it justice!
And yes, I'm sure that Albert does LOVE the walks even more than you do :)
That's a European thing that I wish more American families would do...the family walk. So neat, love the pictures...but it looks very cold to this FLA girl!!
This reminded me so much of when we are in Denmark and Peter's mom takes us on nature walks. The Danes sure love their walks.
