Mine forskellige hatte ... My different hats

Today was the day--my first "official" day at Herning Gymnasium, and it was a good day. The staff gave me flowers and everyone was so nice to me! I met both of my classes that I will be teaching and they were great as well! My days will be filled with "changing hats"....IB Coordinator for a couple hours....teach one or two classes.....IB Coordinator for a few more hours. The days will NEVER be boring! It feels good to be working again!

I am so happy to know that you not only got a job, but that you got a job that sounds like it couldn't possibly be a more perfect fit for you!

Hi Kelli, glad everything went so well and you feel really positive about the whole thing after the first day! Hope that same positive feeling is still there six months down the road also! Enjoy!!! :-) Thanks also for your support now that the Captain is gone...nice to know someone is thinking of us!!!
Hugs from Norway :-)

Lady Fi--- good question...
he definitely noticed it today as he has been on my lap since about 7 tonight... and it is now 8.20.he is not moving! I think he missed me!
But luckily I have the option of doing some of my IB stuff at home, online...so I will do that a couple times a week so he is not alone 5 days a week!

Congrats on your first day!

It will be interesting to see your perceptions about the ways the DK schools are different from the US schools.

Congrats! Sounds like a great job! So what will you teach?

So will you be riding your bike to work? :) I promise to walk to the store if you ride your bike to work!

Tara-- I am teaching English to 1st year gymnasium students... and they are GREAT! And yes, I am going to bike to work, but NOT UNTIL this snow is gone. I am amazed at the Danes that I have passed the last 2 days on their bikes....they do not even seem to notice that it is freezing cold!! I think sleeping out in the pram is what conditioned them to this!! I am just a WIMP!

I'm sorry I didn't leave you out in the cold on the sidewalk when you were a baby - that would have toughened you up a bit. Hope things are going well at the new job!
