Så meget at lære ... So much to learn.....

Although I have worked with International Baccalaurete for many years, all of my IB knowledge and training has been as a school principal. A Coordinator´s job is very different from that of an "IB Head of School", so it is necessary that I receive training as an IB Coordinator. As I write our comprehensive application to become Denmark´s next IB Gymnasium, there are so many things that I need to learn and know in order to increase our chances of receiving approval from both the IBO and the Danish Ministry of Education.

HUSKER DU VORES EVENTYR?!

My last IB Training was in 2007 when Shelly and I went to Houston together....DO YOU REMEMBER OUR ADVENTURE?! Click here for a reminder. (sorry, but it is in English!) I looked for a "New Coordinator Training" close to Denmark in which I could participated and I found one. The good news is that IB has a conference for new coordinators during week 7...when the schools in Denmark are closed for winter break, so I can go and not miss any classes. And the "bad" news (LOL) is, that IB has a conference for new coordinators during week 7 (Feb 13-15) in Paris! (Sorry, Nettie, but the conference is at Paris Disney Resort!) So Albert will ask Farfar and Farmor if he can sleep over at their house since Mads and I decided he would go with me to Paris because it is one of the few places in Europe that he has never been! I have been to Paris twice before so Mads can visit the city´s sights while I work! I just hope that this IB Training does not include an ambulance...only good information that will help me with my new job!

Hey hey! Sorry I've been A-Wall lately...been busy with work and hubby gone now so little time to myself. Getting ready to go now, but chomping breakfast while I read blogs...hahaha...

PARIS??? COOL! Bet Paris is a little cooler then Houston..but you have been there before and don't sound too impressed? Hopes Mads likes it- and Disney Paris, I'd love to hear about that, is it worth it to go there and so on...can't wait to hear all about the trip!!

Hope the job is otherwise going great!!

Glad to hear two days on the job and you're already right into it! Isn't that the good thing about being in Europe - meetings and conferences can be anywhere!

(Here's the English, since I'm still practicing my Dansk:
This job is more perfect for you & Mads. I'm glad everything is working out for you in your new home.

I'm glad that Albert figured out where he will be, but what about Emmitt? Is he lucky to go to Paris... )

So, Valentines day in Paris? That will be amazing :)

I hope Mads loves Paris. I know we talked before about how much you wanted to share the city with him and I am so glad you will actually get to do that! yay for Paris being a short flight away.

I want to be an IB coordinator too then!

We were only in Paris for a few days and I want to go back and spend some more time... we can only go so fast with all the kids.

Locate some good restaurants before you go. We ate some yucky stuff there... :)

Better be sure there is a ghetto hospital close by the conference area and you better pack your own Tupperware. Also, call ahead to make sure the concierge can run down to the 7-11 for a phone charger.

Love you.

Oh...I am SOOOOOO jealous!!! You must take pictures of the resort for me and any cute French men you see in Paris. Tell Mads, it is research for Nettie! You know about my weakness for French men and Disney! To go to Euro Disney...it is the best of both worlds!
