"We never have snow in Denmark." At least that is what everyone has told me! :o) But the snow began in Herning on Saturday, and more snow came on Sunday, and again on Monday and more on Tuesday. It was not so many centimeters in the Dane´s opinions, but to we 3 Texans, week 2 was a "SNOWY WEEK"!!
Første 3 billeder er i lørdags, kl. 10.
First 3 pictures are from Saturday at 10am.
Næste 3 billeder er 30 minutter senere.... Next 3 pictures are 30 minutes later
Emmitt er ikke sikker på dette...
Emmitt is not sure sure about this....
I love to watch snow fall because it is so amazing how a little drop of water can become a snowflake, but this week, I saw something that is even MORE AMAZING... I knew that rain, wind and cold air do not stop the Danes from cykling to work, but this week, I learned that the snow does not stop them either! As I drove to work every day, the bike paths were filled with riders! (Note--I will begin my bike trips to work when we have temps over ZERO!) And remember.... "We never have snow in Denmark!"

I believe what Albert is actually thinking is... "Umm, mom, it's a bit cold on the toes.. can we go in now?"
The Norwegians have a saying, There is no bad weather only bad clothing! Which is their mantra when going out to do stuff in any type of weather! Doesn't suprise me that their close neighbours (the Danes) feel the same way. Poor Emmitt and Albert, especially Emmitt, he probably is thinking, "What the f...is this stuff???" I could see Albert enjoying it more..dogs love to get wet and messy..hahaha...
This was a great post, Kelli! I like how Albert seems more curious w/ the snow and Emmitt appears to not want anything to do with it. I hope Mads is enjoying the snow, too ;-)
Good job w/ the biking goal... above 0 degrees sounds very reasonable. :-) I've opted to run in the freezing cold and start biking to work again when the sun starts rising before 7am again. It's too dangerous to bike 10miles to work in the dark on the trails.
Kelli, we are with you. This post made us laugh out loud. Cold weather makes us hurt!
Oh - lovely snow! It's magical!
The video with Camo Albert was sooo cute! BTW -- how is Albert's Danish coming along -- does he understand any commands?
That picture of Emmitt is priceless. I have never seen that expression on an animal's face. It really looks like he is thinking, "What the frick!?!"
