Day 3 was Valentine´s Day. I worked while Mads took the train into Paris for his day to explore the Louvre. While he was there, he met a really famous woman, lots of folks from Egypt and some Greek lady. He walked many miles throughout the Louvre and still did not see everything!
After I was finished with my conference work, I took the train into town and met my Valentine there. We walked through the small streets of downtown Paris, we ate banana & Nutella crepes (which Jess and I both believe to be the greatest French food ever!!) and drank coffee in a cafe across the street from the Eiffel Tower and we had the most perfect and romantic Valentine´s evening. Of course it was special to have our Valentine´s Day in Paris, but Mads and I are not "fancy" people. We are very content with the small things--like eating a $10 crepe together with a good cup of coffee. The Eiffel Tower behind us was just a bonus!
Can you imagine how much this apartment costs with its view of the Eiffel tower?!
I have read about a new biking campaign in France and I was glad to see that it was true that the French really are becoming more green!
We did not see a show at Moulin Rouge because I am not so excited to see naked (including partially naked) women dancing and serving food! However, France has ONE windmill and you can be certain that I have a picture of it!
While I worked on Sunday Mads had one more plan....to go to the top of the Eiffel tower. He tried to do it on Saturday but the third level was closed (and he only wanted to go up if he could go ALL the way up!), so he took the train to the Eiffel tower on Sunday morning for one more chance! Take a look at his pics and see if he made it to the top! We had a wonderful trip to Paris and Albert had a great time with Farmor and Farfar, but it was so good for all 4 of us to be back home together again! I am certain Emmitt missed us because he has been quite snuggly since then! Our next trip is to London in april but before that trip, something better is coming! Jess arrives in Denmark in two weeks....just in time for my birthday! The perfect birthday gift!

Oh la la, c'est magnifique!
I long to visit Paris one day...it looks like an amazing city.
Oh the Mona Lisa!!! Wow...I'm jealous- Paris is definitely on my to do list before I die...and thanks for the tip about the banana and nutella crepes. Sounds....interesting but if you recommend it I'll try it when I get to Paris...
And LONDON in April and weren't you going to the states also? Has Mads found a new job? What about house hunting anything new there? Lots happening in your life- pretty soon you'll be ready to reflect on your first year in Denmark...sounds great so far!!!
I'm a wuss. That last photo is making my head spin. I'm so glad Mads went to the top and took pictures. Because I can now say with all honesty, I am NEVER EVER going to do that. But at least I can now say that I've seen it's a lovely view.
Oh god my stomach!
Beautiful pictures and beautiful memories. Love ya!!!

Of course he also says he is running the Berlin marathon in Sept... oh to be a "boy" !!LOL And he is definitely ALL BOY!! Which is why I love him! I am content to sit in the cafe sipping a cup of coffee while he has his adventures that I can write about on the blog! LOL We really are the perfect match!
