Kongelige hukommelser ...Royal Memories

Disse to billeder hænges i vores dagligstue.

These two pictures hang in our living room. I found them in the basement last summer and when I showed them to Mads, he told me his "royal story".

After he was finished with high school, Mads joined the Danish army. He had many experiences while he was in the army, but he most special experience was thetwo weeks that his group had royal guard for Queen Ingrig. She was living at the Danish summer residence in Gråsten and Mads had the privilege to stand guard for her. We drove to the castle in Gråsten on Saturday along our way home from Germany. It was a special time for Mads to return here after 20 years!

Love the pictures. Denmark somehow reminds me of old English villages...

So Mads was a royal guard...does that mean he can keep a straight face no matter what you do in front of him????

I'm going to have to visit Denmark someday...just have to the get the lionesses their rabies shots first..

Okay, never mind. I clicked on the picture and zoomed in and now I can tell. He's the one second from the left, right?

Yes - The Road is a must. Brilliant, but difficult to read. I can also recommend No Country for Old Men, which is good too and a little easier to read.
