My first trip to France was in Jun 2005 when Jess and I traveled with a group from my school. we had three days in Paris and traveled throughout the Loire Valley, Normandy and my favorite place in France--Mont St. Michel. We saw so many wonderful things and beautiful places.... but my favorite memory is from when we stood in front of Notre Dame on our last day and Jess said, "Mom, ANOTHER CHURCH?! Do I HAVE to go in?!"
Mads and I are going to Paris on Thursday and I am so excited to experience the city with my husband...especially since next Saturday is February 14---Valentine´s Day! Paris--the most romantic city og Valentine´s Day--the most romantic day! Although I have my IB conference on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I will get to have three nights with my husband in Paris! Mads will explore Paris during the day while I am learning more about I.B. and I am quite certain that he will be more excited to visit Notre Dame than Jess was in 2005!!

I hope y'all have a great time...(OK we know you will!) Enjoy yourself! JEALOUS
You MUST go to Pierre Hermé and try his fabulous "macarons". They come in the most outraire flavors. Cost you and arm and a leg too, but damn they are that good!
My first and so far only trip to France was in March of 2005 when I went with a family to France and Italy. Good grief that was a long time ago! We didn't have nearly as much time in Paris, however, and I'm ever so jealous - Valentine's Day! In Paris! With your husband to boot!
Hyg jer med et besøg på Paris´s ældste cafe Le Procope, 13 Rue de l´ancienne comedie - her tilbragte Napoleon tid med sine venner - www.procope.com
Loved Jess's comment about another church in front of Notre Dame! Funny!! Yes- Paris on Valentine's Day- JEALOUS me too!!! You are so lucky, hope it's as romantic as it sounds!!!
Definitely on my list of places I want to visit - so yeah, I'm a bet envious! Have a great trip!
Sounds like a great plan. Have fun in Paris
Jess' comment about just another church is too funny. I remember getting the same feeling 'I'm just templed out' when visiting all the cool temples around China. After a while, it was just too much!!
Me - jealous! Noooooooooo... Now, about that offer to chaperone Mads...
Jess was so teeny tiny!
Very cute.
Have fun in lovely Paris! :)
You know I hate the hell out of Valentine's Day but I'm glad you'll be someplace cool to celebrate it. I can't believe those pictures of Jess; she looks SO YOUNG!
OMD = O Mon Dieu -- I am SOOO jealous!!!
Don't forget to visit the church St. Chappelle -- it is a smaller church very close to Notre Dame. Go upstairs, and I will guarantee it will leave you and Mads breathless. It is one of the prettiest sights in the world!!!
Oh ya -- and go to the Musee' D'Orsay -- all the kickass more modern painters!!!
You know I am jealous! I hope you two have a ton of fun and eat a crepe for me and take a picture of the cutest French guy you see there and post his picture on your blog! Tell Mads it's an order from Nettie:D
I was in Paris in 2003, and I liked it okay, but I would rather explore the French country-side. My sister spent two weeks traveling in the French countryside and she loved it.
Have fun in Paris!!!
