Yesterday my inlaws celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary! I think that is absolutely AMAZING! Such an example that they have set for their children and grandchildren! I have also thought about my own parents and remembered that they celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary this past January. And although I hate math, I counted and have realized that together--my parents and inlaws have eighty-four years of marriage.... WOW!!!! I hope that Mads and I are lucky enough to have a marriage as strong as that of our parents. All four of them have set a great example for us!

It's almost spooky how much their living room looks like my parents-in-law's living room - the furniture, the ornaments, the paintings. Just Danes of a certain generation I suppose.

That is so sweet ! You are so fortunate to have such a strong family. Marco and I have been together since 1987, that's 22 years! Time goes by so fast sometimes and so slowly other times (like now when I'm at work, ha ha!)

In this day and age yes, it's extremely impressive that they are still going strong- so many give up on marriage too easily when things get tough. You've both had great role models so I'm sure you and Mads are heading for a lifetime together. ;-))
