Anden amerikansk på vejen ... Another American on the road

Jess decided that she wanted to learn to drive a stick while she was in Denmark this time. On the day that Mads began her lesson, I moved to the backseat (with my camera OF COURSE) and tried to sit quietly so that Mads could teach her! Changing how you drive is not easy, no matter how young or how old you are!

My favorite comment from the back seat, "She's going to drive us HOME?" Even though I had learned to drive stick in the US, learning the new traffic signs and rules was madness! Trying to do both at once? Insanity!!

It's not really *that* bad learning the traffic signs. Biggest difference is that there are not as many and most make sense ;-)

The really interesting spots is coming to a stop at a traffic light up hill...

When we were in DK I did some of the same with Jacki. After the traffic light experience she was done ;-)

Have to agree that was the best comment- She's driving us home??? And of course stating the obvious to Jess- Ugh Jess- that's a red light. hahahaha!!! Kinda funny too listening to two Texas accents and a very stately British type accent (on Mads- maybe it was just the deep voice and not really stately)
Think Jess will remember how to drive stick next time she is in Denmark???

I thought everybody has to learn how to drive manually. At least that's how we do it in my country, it's a requirement for a driver's license, since driving automatic is piece of a cake

LOL! She can drive without hands, talk and look around at the same time...

"Watch out for that pedestrian!"

ROFL!!!

I also loved the whole "where's 4th" moment... so funny. But it looks like she has the hang of it!

I don't think I'll learn how to drive a stick since Kenneth doesn't eve own a drive license.
