I have survived my first Danish winter and I am so ready to experience my first Danish spring. But I wonder.... what will springtime look like in Denmark? In the last six days, I have seen snow, sunshine, rain and fog...all the same things that I saw in winter! But Mads keeps telling me the same thing over and over.... "Just wait. The Danish spring is not like anything else you have ever seen before." So..... I wait...

Vi havde vores første dag med en esktra time af dagslys i dag og selvfølgelig, tilbragte vi det i skoven!

Imens jeg venter på forårs ankomst, tog jeg dette billede som jeg tænker at det er en god eksempel af marts i Danmark..... du "kan se forår, men det stadig er gemt smulle." Men så længe som jeg kan se det, ved jeg at det kommer!!
While I wait for spring´s arrival, I took this picture which I think is a good example of March in Denmark.....you "can see spring, but it is still a little bit hidden." But as long as I can see it, I know it is coming!

That video with the deer running in the woods is amazing- I walk through these woods all the time and we hardly ever see deer. But this video looks like you said to the deer- "Ok, cameras ready- start running deer!!" Is the woods stocked with deer for the pleasure of those walking in the woods or what??

A little like Texas - Sunshine & then snow flurries....only you don't have 72 degree temperatures yet. This morning we were at 32 and now we are at 72. Crazy place called Texas.

Patti--Jynevad Skov is just south of the Rind Plantage and Rind Kirke. Lind is a small town 3 km south of Herning and this is about 3 more km from Lind.... does that help? Rind Plantage is open with no fencing, but Jynevad skov is a huge fenced in property that the public can access. The deer are not "stocked" the way we do a deer lease in Texas, but there are caretakers throughout the forest area that bring in feed and other items for the deer, beyond just the natural things they have. It is an amazing place... we will have to show it to you !

I remember our first Danish spring in 2003 we had snow at the end of April. Your right, never ever put up your winter cloths! :)
If spring gets to you before it finally gives in and comes to Detroit, I'm coming to visit you. The snow we got last night simply has undone me (or maybe it's the fact that the furnace stopped working...)
In my opinion there's no other time more lovely in Denmark - even summer wasn't as good.
