Racisme .... Racism

Racisme er overalt....ikke kun i vinduet af en uvidende menneske.....
Racism is everywhere.....not just in the window of ignorant person.....

Racisme findes i sindene og ånderne af vores "ledere" også.
Racism can also be found in the minds and souls of our "leaders".

Translation: "Give us Denmark back! Do not let the EU have any influence on the legislation in Denmark....the EU´s immigration laws are too easy.... We want less EU and more Denmark."

Fremmedhad er levende og stærk i en af Danmarks størst, mest magtfuld og mest indflydelsesrig politiskeparti...
Xenophobia is alive and well in one of Denmark´s biggest and most powerful political parties.....

The strangest thing is that there are also immigrants who vote for Dansk Folkeparti. I wonder what's going on in their mind?

And the only way to bring them 'down' is to raise awareness about what they are doing.

Denmark is not known for it's liberal government any more, that is for sure.

There are plenty of us working against the racism of parties that encourage it, but what is needed now is a more active resistance. The voters will probably still vote the DFP in, but in some way they have to be reached and helped.

I do not want to accept that the people who vote for DFP know what they do. I prefer to imagine them as being exploited by the emotive campaigns of the right and far right.

I am not saying the Social Democratic and liberal parties are any better, in some way, perhaps their policies lead to the widespread disillusionment that would cause significant numbers of Danish voters to vote extremists in.

The only way out of this would be to speak out and speak up...and luckily we live in a country that prides itself on it's free speech so we can all do that. Um, providing we are not immigrants that is.

They say that the appeal to patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel. Not always. Sometimes it's the first.

I've watched the developments in Denmark with horror as it has become more and more right wing. First, tightening laws about marriage and immigrants, and just generally not welcoming them... That's one of the reasons I could never imagine living in Denmark, I'm afraid. For my kids' sake.

Ugh, I hate Dansk Folkeparti. Apart from the xenophobic Danes, I believe they get votes for their harder line politics, regarding hot topic issues, such as increasing length and severity of prison sentences, establishing an animal police etc.

I know of a few young people from the dog groups I'm a member of who solely vote for Dansk Folkeparti because they are enarmoured by the idea of an American style animal police. They do not stop to consider that if you vote for a political party, you are voting for the whole package of what this party represents. It's ignorance in one of its worse forms.

I want to know, if the folke party comes to 100% power, will the stop importing doctors and engineers? Only pigs in Dk seem to be reproducing, Dk will need need some human resource import. Or is use and throw, need based immigration ok?

I only know of Pia K through wikipedia, some of her comments are outright rascist and would have entailed political banishment any where else in the world. It fails me that there is a country in a seemingly progressive world that votes xenophobic parties into power.
A danish friend of mine scrawls 'hitler moutaches' on folkeparti posters when she spots one. So there is hope still.
I wish is for Pia K and all members of her family to fall hopelessly in love with an Indian, Chinese, African etc.- June, www.shetalkslikejune.com

Dansk Folkeparti is a disgrace to Denmark. They are one of the things from DK I am truely ashamed of!

Unfortunately racism is everywhere. I have a black friend and an asian friend here, and they tell me they experience racism all the time, which I cant belive - guess I am naive, but what the hell is wrong with these intolerent people??? It just makes me so mad...

I can sort of understand why the Danish government would want to curb the influx of immigrants that just live off the welfare system. That is never good for a country. But what I want to know is....how can the he have a slogan such as "Give us back Denmark" when the Crown Prince is married to an Aussie?
