Hvor er jeg?? Where am I?

Last weekend I drove along this road and suddenly stopped!
WAIT!
Where am I?
I thought I was in Denmark....but when I saw these flowers along a Danish road, I was CERTAIN I had traveled back to Texas!
I don´t know what kind of flowers they are.....

But I sure do not think they are bluebonnets!
Anyone have a clue?!

I always thought it was a type of lavender.

Hmmm...they look a bit like the lavender plant.

In Denmark, are you allowed to pick wild flowers ??

I believe that is blue salvia, not bluebonnets. Salvia is pretty commonly planted in TX gardens and it can resemble bluebonnets (although I think it might grow taller).

Are they blue bells? I know those grow in Scotland.

We have them here in BC, I think they are lupines.

My mom in law, who is the expert about such things, emailed me a while ago to let me know...these are lupiner!!! (same name in English or Danish!)

Anon... I know they are not bluebonnets.... I am in Denmark!

KC- yes, you can pick wildflowers, unlike our bluebonnets in TX! I cannot tell you how many vases full I have had here!! They are amazing and just smell so much better than the store-bought ones!

They look like lupins! We also get them growing wild here in Sweden.

I am ignorant in such things, but they're quite lovely. Yay for you for spotting them. I would surely have never noticed them and continued on lost in my haze.
