As we drove from Herning, Denmark to Helgøya, Norway, I took MANY pictures of things that I thought were interesting---things which are different from the things that I see everyday.
Masser tunneler igennem bjergene.... du kan ikke finde disse i flad Danmark!
Lots of tunnels through the mountains.... you certainly cannot find these in flat Denmark!

Those guys on roller skis still shock me and no, I won't be trying that ever I think...if I could stand on normal skis I'd be impressed!!!! Never seen the Nisse sign but then again I've never been down where Santa lives like you...lucky girl...
I remember being impressed by some of those things too, my first time in Norway!! Not so much the big American cars.... that seems to be different. Funny how things change... BTW Kelli, I'm sorry I left the comment about the spelling issue. I SO never meant to start anything.

Of course you have to look for nissen in Drøbak, who else picks up Julenissen's mail? (There's a store there that gets his letters!) Even that little nisse has a mail bag...think of the travesty if someone spilled Santa's mail!
Glad you enjoyed your trip! We saw a woman on the rollerskis a WEEK after the snow had melted. I was like, Dude, you have a problem if you can't take a vacation from the X-country skiing for even a week!
Great job capturing all the uniqueness of Norway.... the elves sign was the best! I guess you didn't actually see any... or I'm sure you would have posted a picture! lol Thanks again for sharing all your discoveries with your blog readers :-)
