Oslo, the capital of Norway, is a great city! However I am certain that our list of things to do and see in Oslo was a little different from other visitors......
1. IKEA
2. Holmenkollen
3. Frokost hos TGI Fridays (Ja, du læste rigtigt!!) / Lunch at TGI Fridays (yes, you read correctly!)
4. Vigeland Park
5. Tregaardens Julehus
Holmenkollen is closed right now because they are building a new ski jump for the 2011 Nordic Championship, but Mads got the chance to imagine himself on the new track in preparation for his first ski holiday in December!
Lunch at TGI Fridays was OK (but SO expensive!)...however Jess and Mads were VERY HAPPY about the FREE REFILLS!! We do not have free refills in Denmark so this was very good news!
Vigeland skabede hans skulptur at repræsentere "typiske human aktiviteter" men selvfølgelig, bestemmede vi at lave vores egen "typiske akitiviter" hos Vigeland!
Vigeland Park is so beautiful with its more than 200 sculptures! Vigeland created his sculptures to represent "typical human activities", but of course, we decided that we would create our own "typical activities" in the park!
Christmas in July? YES! Christmas comes all year long at Tregaardens Julehus! I love shops like this! Now we have Christmas ornaments from Norway for our Christmas tree!
I was not surprised to learn that Oslo has a population almost as big as Copenhagen....1.4 million. But I was VERY surprised to learn that Norway´s total population is actually less than Denmark´s....only 4.8 million although Norway is 9x bigger than Denmark!
We did not have enough time in Oslo and plan to visit it again and maybe next time we will get to see more of Oslo´s "typical visitor´s list", but for now, we still have our Vigeland pics to remind us how fun Oslo is!

I love Oslo but the prices of everything are outrageous!!!
You should go to Helsinki. I love that city
And hopefully next time you go to Oslo we can come along also!!! Make a weekend out of it or something!!! And the free refills- are ONLY at TGIFs...no where else!!
Btw I forgot to tell you that there's TGIF in Malmö's lilla torg. I dunno if they have refills, though :)
I would love to see Oslo one day!!!Thanks for the great...and funny pictures ;-)
What fun! Don't forget to visit the new opera house in Oslo... I've only seen pictures but it looks fabulous!
Norway is very expensive - even compared to Sweden...
Holmenkollen was one of my fave things in Oslo. We "hiked" up the mountain on a really cold October morning and were in awe looking at how HUGE the ski jump was.
I really enjoyed Vigeland Park as well. Your pictures are hilarious from your time in there.
I love love love the photos of you having fun in Vigeland!!
