We have 290 pictures from our trip to Norway! But do not worry.... I did not post them all!
Vi havde en ferie til Texas i maj og juni....en ferie som havde en tæt skema --mange mennesker at besøge og ting at gøre. Selv om vi havde en vidunderlig tid i Texas, kom vi hjem, MEGET TRÆT så vi lovede hinanden at vi ville have en SLAPPE AF sommerferie i Norge.... "Mission Accomplished!"
We had a vacation to Texas in late May, early June...a vacation with a very tight schedule--many people to see and things to do. Although we had a wonderful time in Texas, we come home VERY TIRED, so we promised each other other that we would have a RELAXING vacation in Norway.... mission accomplished!
Hvis du har lyst for en sommerferie af gode venner, gode mad og forbløffende landskab, foreslager jeg at du tage til "Amys Hytte"! Vi har ikke skema men gjort mange ting, såsom.....
If you want a summer holiday filled with good friend, good food, and amazing landscape, I suggest that you head straight for "Amy´s Cabin"!! We did not have a schedule, but we did lots of things, such as .......
1. Kørt forbi broen som forbinder "Amys ø" til resten af verden.
1. Crossed the bridge that connects "Amy´s island" to the rest of the world.
2. Fik Dansk ting, venter på os, i vores egen hytte!
2. Had Danish products waiting for us in our very own cabin!
3. Nød Amys madlavning såsnart som vi ankom til vi tog afsted....
3. Enjoyed Amy´s cooking as soon as we arrived until we left....
4. Jess fik muligheden at "hænge ud" med andre cool Texas teenagers! (som taler FLOT engelsk!)4. Jess got the chance to hang out with other cool Texas teeens! (who speak PERFECT English!)
5. Mads lavede mange nye venner! De genkendte hurtigt nogen at spille med!!5. Mads made many new friends! They quickly recognized that they had found a new playmate!

2 skandinaviske mænd som er gift med 2 Texas piger skaber en speciel venskab.... for pigerne OG fyrer også! Dette var ikke vores sidste tur til Helgøya Norge!
2 Scandinavian men who are married to 2 Texas girls creates a special friendship.... both for the girls AND the guys! This was not our last trip to Helgøya, Norway!

You are such a sweetheart and your family is wonderful, reading this reminded me of the great weekend we had together and I'm glad we'll have many other chances in the future to get together both in Denmark and Norway!! And thanks for the "bed and breakfast" promotion of our place...that might be kinda fun actually!!! :-))
Oooh - I am so jealous! I want to come over right now... Maybe I can tweak my British accent and throw in a little Y'all now and then to fit in with Amy and co.... ;-)

Sounds like you've both adapted really well to life in Scandinavia. It does look like lots of fun.
It looks like you and Amy had such a wonderful time. Did you get fresh bread...or was Amy making cinn. rolls?? Enjoy your next trip across the pond. We'll have to figure out a date to get together.

All the pictures were great and def captured all the fun and happiness you had @ Amy's. I love the pictures of the dogs - big & small! lol Amy & family have a great place to live and enjoy... that's so nice of them to share it with your family! :-)
I love the picture of Mads with the border collie. You know my family is crazy about border collies!
