Skat, jeg synes at jeg ringer til det Hvide Hus i dag.
Honey, I think I will call the White House today.
Mig:
(Pludselig giver jeg ham min opmærksomhed!) HVAD?!
(Suddenly giving him my attention!) WHAT?!
Mads:
Vidste du at Obama flyver til Danmark på fredag og han bringer hans egen Cadillac, ikke?
You know that Obama is flying to Denmark on Friday and is bringing his own Cadillac, right?
Mig:
Ja?????
Yeah????
Mads:
Jeg ringer til ham og fortæller ham at jeg forstår at det er vigtigt at han bringer hans egen bil til Danmark. Og jeg ved hvor stort Air Force One er så måske han kan bringe noget som er vigtig til anden amerikaner!
I am going to call him and tell him that I understand how important it is for him to bring his own car to Denmark. And that I know how big Air Force One is so maybe he would consider bringing something that is important to another American!
Mig:
OK?!

Jeg fortæller ham at jeg er sikker på at han har meget plads på Air Force One for at bringe få dåser JIF til min kone!
I will tell him that I am quite certain he has plenty of room on Air Force One to bring a few jars of JIF to my wife!

ok Babs...spill it!! The only place in DK I know that has it is "Food from home" but it costs 99kr for a small jar and I just cannot do that! I have 2 jars left but it is apple season and I eat LOTS OF peanut butter and apples !!!
What a sweet husband you have! I am sure he is quite right... plenty of room on Air Force One for some JIF! Are there apple orchards in DK like there are in the States?
Jif is a cleaning liquid in Sweden - and England! Phew.. glad to hear that to you it's peanut butter.
I think I can get it for about 60 kroner a jar so it's still steep, will figure it out before your two jars melt away.

You know, if there ever was a president to bring you jars of Jif, it would be Obama. It never hurts to ask!
Traveling Mamma...we have LOTS of apple farms in DK but even better, there are apple trees in about every other yard so apples are EVERYWHERE right now. In fact, they go to waste because there are so many!
Different varieties than we have in the US, but just as yummy!
Maybe your mom will send a jar along with Mads' birthday gift this next week.....hope it will all fit in the box.
