Gode gæt.... Good guesses

Jeg fik masser gode gæt om dette værktøj... men mit favorite forkerte svar var Rachels-- "en værktøj for at samle møbler du har købt hos IKEA!!!)

I received lots of good guesses about this special Danish household tool....but my favorite wrong answer was Rachel´s---"a tool to help you assemble all that furniture you buy from IKEA!!!)

I Danmark spiser de ost til morgenmad (på rundstykker), de spiser ost til frokost (på rugbrød...ligesom Oprah!!) og de spiser ost til DESSERT (på kiks)! Det er ganske almindeligt at servere ost efter mad.... en ost tallerken med vindruer og rød peberfrugt. Jeg har altid spist ost til frokost men jeg har haft at lære at spise ost til morgenmad og dessert siden jeg flyttede til Danmark. DOG..............

In Denmark they eat cheese for breakfast (on rundstykker), they eat cheese at lunch time (on rugbrød...like Oprah!), and they eat cheese for DESSERT (on crackers and cookies!). It is quite normal to serve cheese after dinner.... a cheese plate with grapes and red bell pepper. I have always eaten cheese at lunch, but I have had to learn to eat cheese at breakfast and I am still trying to like cheese for dessert since I moved to Denmark. HOWEVER...............

Jeg kan ikke bruge dette værktøj på den rigtige måde. Jeg prøver og prøver men Mads griner på mig hver gang! Så i vores hus, skærer Mads osten.... ikke mig fordi jeg kan ikke gøre det! (Du skal skære i bestemt måde og hente ost stykker med værktøj!) Måske skulle den danske sprogskole give "ost skærer lektioner" til alle udlændinger når de går til deres danske klasser?!

I cannot use this tool in the right way. I try and try, but Mads just laughs every time! So in our house, Mads cuts all cheese.... not me because I just cannot do it! (You have to cut the cheese in a very distinct way and then use this tool to pick it up!) Maybe the Danish language school should give "cheese cutting lessons with this fancy tool" lessons to all the foreigners when they go to their Danish classes?!
