I dag er Thanksgiving. I Amerika.
Today is Thanksgiving. In America.
Min første Thanksgiving i Danmark, 2007.
My first Thanksgiving in Denmark, 2007.
Min anden Thanksgiving i Danmark, 2008.
My second Thanksgiving in Denmark, 2008.
Men dette år er lidt forskelligt.....
Vi har ingen besøgende fra Amerika og jeg skal arbejde idag (ligesom en almindelig dag).
But this year is a little different...
We do not have any visitors here from the US, and I have to work today, just like it was a regular ol' day.
I dag når jeg kommer hjem fra arbejde, ser jeg "Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade" online HER så jeg kan opleve den samme ting som min familie og venner i USA oplever når de står op.
Today when I come home from work, I will watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade online HERE so that I can experience the same things that my family and friends in the US are experiencing when they wake up.
I love my new life in Denmark, but today is a difficult day. A difficult day for all Americans who are living in countries outside the US. But we ARE thankful for many things and we WILL GIVE THANKS even though we do not have turkey and dressing.
Min "taknemmelige" list har mange ting på det men nr. 1 er:
Jeg er taknemmelig at om 22 dage, går jeg ud fra Terminal D i DFW Lufthavn og ser Jess stå der, venter på mig.
My thankful list has many things on it, but the #1 this is:
I am thankful that in 22 days I will walk out of Terminal 5's baggage claim in the DFW Airport and see Jess standing there, waiting for me.
Happy Thanksgiving fra mig til dig.
Happy Thanksgiving from me to you.

Hi my friend! Happy Thanksgiving!! One thing I am thankful for this year is that you made the effort to come visit us this year and take our friedship to a different level then just the comment field of a blog! I'm very thankful that you didn't give up on a somewhat anti-social gal living in the woods...hehehehe..
Have a great day my friend..
Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving right back to you! Interesting that Thanksgiving three years ago was the first holiday we spent in Denmark too! :)So happy that we met and will be crossing my fingers that those 22 days fly by swiftly!
Happy Thanksgiving. If it makes you feel better, we're having steak tomorrow and then turkey on Friday as my mother-in-law will be over.
We don't have Thanksgiving in the UK.. sounds kind of fun though!
It's a stinker having to work on a day that you want to spend with family. Still - think of your students as family and you get to spend the day with them!
Have lots of fun later on today!
Hugs and warm thoughts!
Good morning from Texas and Happy Thanksgiving! Your friendship is among the many things I am so thankful for in my life Love you and miss you both!!
Happy Thanksgiving!!! 22 days and you will be in Texas and then we will head to the mountains of Crested Butte. Christmas will be so much fun this year! Miss you and can't wait to see you both. Love you - mom & dad
Happy Thanksgiving Kelli! My dad is in Helsinki right now and had to work today as well just like any normal day. We sure missed him, just as I'm sure your family missed you!
