Få sko? Got shoes?

Venstre, venstre, venstre, højre, venstre....
Left, left, left, right, left.....

I dag lærte jeg, at tyvene i Skandinavia er "klogere end den almindelig tyv"!
Today I learned that the thieves in Scandinavia are "smarter than the average thief"!

Ved du hvilken sko at butikkerne udstiller til kunder at prøve? Venstre eller højre?
Jeg har syntes at alle sko butikkerne i verden udstiller den samme sko.... men de ikke!

Do you know which shoe that shops set out for their customers to try? Left or right?
I would have thought that all the shoe shops in the world would have set out the same one....but they don't!

In Denmark shops display the right shoe, but in Sweden they typically set out the left which lots of thieves have figured out! They are stealing left shoes in Malmø, Sweden, driving across the Øresund Bridge into Denmark and stealing the match in Copenhagen. In less than 3o minutes they have a pair!

Jeg undrer mig hvilken sko andre lande udstiller i sko butikker?
I wonder which shoe other countries set out in their shoe shops?

How do you figure all of this out?

Clever, but they will have to steal more than one pair.
It cost 56 USD to cross the bridge from Denmark to Sweden each way.

ha ha Thanks for sharing! Very interesting.

I now have an excuse to return to DSW now and check out which shoe is on display.... and maybe buy some.... both sides.

Tressa... I live with a news junkie so I get to learn all kinds of interesting stuff!!

And about the profit... news sources say these were some pretty posh shoes from some pretty posh shops... one pair was valued at 7000DKKK!!! (And yes, I typed 7000, not 700.

For real? Hilariously sneaky thieves! I guess they then sell those posh shoes...

Well, I agree, the toll bridge would definately cut into the profit margin!

No way and too darn funny! I might have to steal, err, borrow this news item and send it to my friends. And, 7,000dkk is nuts for a pair of shoes. I almost have a coronary when they are $100USD. Yikes.

Sounds like a lot of work, but for the thief, but when you state the shoes cost so much, perhaps that's a great idea.

What?! That is an awful lot of work just for some pairs of shoes. The cost of gasoline and toll across the bridge would be enough for me to pass on that idea. How stupid!
