I Texas.... In Texas

I was in Texas the last 6 days and while I was there, I found lots of signs to remind me that "just like Dorothy and Toto", I was not in Denmark any longer....Many of the pics need no explanation....they definitely speak for themselves.

I took this one in a shopping center... SERIOUSLY!

I wanted to buy this shirt for Mads but I was afraid that all the Danes would read it and believe it!

Only in Texas will you see cops on the road EVERY TIME you drive...

Only in Texas will you see both flags flying at the same height....

It is really common to see signs on the back of cars in the USA which tell you sports their kids play...like soccer or baseball or tennis...but in Texas we have car signs that tell you which HORSE CLUB their kids belong to.....
Ingen ord er nødvendige til disse to....
No words needed for these two...

If you ask someone in Texas "what is Copenhagen", chances are high that they'll tell you "CHEWING TOBACCO" instead of "the capital of Denmark".
Ja, jeg købte kage dej i Texas for 88cents!
Yep, I bought cake mix in Texas for 88 cents!
Only in Texas do the men wish for a REDNECK GIRL! (well, all the men in Texas plus one Viking!)

Well, hope you have a great day with your Viking- mine is coming home soon- in the meantime I'll be shovelling snow until my arms fall off....hahahahaha...

Velkommen "hjem" Kelli!
Jeg vidste ikke at det kun var her i Texas at State flag hængte i samme højde som det nationale flag! Men selvfølgelig, i Texas!

Funny pics that really illustrate some of the culture difference between the Us and DK. I have a question...who are "Dorothy and Toto"?

I love these posts because they make me smile.

I miss seeing flags at night time. I love how the American flag looks so beautiful all lit up.

ohh one more thing. I just wanted to say thanks for challenging me. I know try to only read the dansk part of your blog posts. I'm finally getting where I can understand everything without cheating and looking at the English.
