We saw this sign as we were driving to Germany recently, and I started to wonder, "WHY did someone in the middle of Jutland choose to name his business TEXAS?!"
Selvfølgelig ved jeg grunden, men jeg er sikker på at "Poul Nielsen" føler ikke den samme om Texas som jeg føler... så Hvorfor?!
Of course I KNOW the reason, but I am certain that "Poul Nielsen" does not feel the same about Texas as I do... So why?!

That's a brand of lawnmowers, etc., and I think it actually may originate from the US but I'm not sure!
I can't wait to hear the answer to this one!

:)
It's not John Nielsen who decided to name his business "Texas".
Texas is a well-known Danish brand of rotary tillers / motorised cultivators / motorised sweepers etc., located in Odense.
I think more than 50% of all rotary tillers in Denmark are of the brand Texas.
The company is 50 years old, but I don't know why they picked the brand name Texas.
So John Nielsen is just advertising with the Texas logo as a reseller of Texas tillers.

Ah .. now I know why!
That's cool when you find something that reminds you of home... even if it is a sign. Fun post, Kelli!
Benny has a big yellow TEXAS garden tiller he brought with his other belongings. So Our Louisiana gardens are tilled with a Danish TEXAS tiller!
