Hvem bor her? Who lives here?

As a member of International Society's board, I am REALLY interested to know more about "who" the foreigners are in Denmark...especially in the Herning Kommune. And I think that others are interested too because when I meet someone for the first time, they always ask me the same thing, "Why did you move to Denmark?" and then many of them follow that up with a second question. "Do you work at Siemens or are you married to a Dane?" :-)

A statistic in last week's Herning Folkeblad told about where the majority of foreigners in Denmark are coming from. When Mads saw the article in the paper, he immediately quizzed me about which countries they were and I was pretty impressed that I knew 8 of the 10! I believe that it is really important to know where they are coming from because we all have different needs and different expectations depending on the culture we come from. But I wonder.... can you name the top 10 countries represented by the foreigners in DK?

Oh gosh... I don't know. But probably from Iran/Iraq, former Yugoslavia, perhaps?

My top guesses (in no particular order)...
Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, Iraq, Germany, Iceland, UK, The Netherlands, Lithuania and other assorted former eastern bloc countries!
