Warning-- LOTS OF PICS POST!

I have found one of the 7 Wonders of the World...at least in my opinion. I never dreamed that TREES could be so amazing to look at. Most of these trees are between 600 & 800 years old, but some are almost 3000 years old. The drive there was fantastic and then just walking amongst those trees was the most spiritual experience.... The smells, the sound of the leaves rustling in the wind, the cool air at the forest floor level.... it was AMAZING. If you ever plan a trip to California, you MUST visit the Sequoia National Park! You will not regret it!

Nature had one more surprise for us..... 30 feet from our path....we saw this..... We took pics, a quick video and then SLOWLY walked back the way we had come!

Just amazing! A real spiritual experience - both the trees AND the bear.

...and the bears!!!
Wonderful pictures!
Looks awesome!!! Looks like your trip is a success so far!
So, how was In-N-Out burger? :)
Seeing that bear must have been quite an experience!
My hometown is about an hour drive from the groves, we go up there every time we have someone to visit. It is always a mind-blowing experience to visit the giant trees, no matter how many times you do it. The sequoias' relationship with and dependence upon fire has always fascinated me, they are amazing trees! So glad you were able to visit them. Will you guys be able to visit Yosemite as well?
