Dear Denmark,
I have complained so many times about your weather.
I have complained about the rain, the wind, and the cold.
And today, I sincerely apologize.
Why today?
Because tomorrow morning at 6am I am flying to Texas.
Yes Texas is my homeland.
But right now, Texas is the place that has had temps over 100F with no sign of rain for the last month, so I am so very sorry that I was so judgmental of your weather.
The truth is that although I am a Texas girl at heart, I HAVE never and WILL never enjoy the heat. I don't like six months of summer and I don't like to sweat. Heck, I don't even like bathing suits or swimming, so I guess what I am saying is that I think I like your weather better, Denmark. I honestly do.
I would also like to say that when I start to whine about your weather in a few months because I am shivering and shaking, you are free to remind me of this letter. I don't mean to ever sound hypocritical; I just seem to forget sometimes so you are welcomed to refresh my memory!
Love,
Kelli

Hi! I just started reading your blog! How long are you staying? I hear we may dip below 100 on Tuesday. :-)
Hi Jan! I just saw your blog and it is funny that we both have very similar posts about temps and weather!
That is so exciting that you are coming to Germany!
I will be in Texas for 11 days....
In Texas people can't stop talking about the weather!!! I am enjoying your blog! I am going to Germany to teach, too. :-)
I too am from Texas--can't stand heat, humidity, swimming...I am moving to Dk this fall for my husband's job and honestly have been looking forward to the Denmark weather :) Glad to hear you say it's not that bad lol.
Poor Texas - hope it gets cool and rainy soon!
Enjoy your trip home!
Hi Heidi and Good luck with your move...
but don't get too excited.. The Danes complain about the weather here too! :-)
The key is to buy a GOOD umbrella and a water-resistant jacket and a cute pair of galoshes..
If you have those, you are SET!
Summertime is normally lovely here, although a bit short. I love the long days and the sunshine we get in north Jutland. But MY GOD, this summer has been so cold, dreary and wet.
Dreading winter! :-(
Nuno, you are so right..
we have not really had summer yet.
Hopefully it will come soon and STAY for a while!
Haha...funny letter. I have been doing a LOT of complaining about this crappy summer weather lately. Unfortunately, I don't have Texan weather to make me appreciate all of this wind, rain and cold in July. I hope its not to sweltering for you on your trip, and am happy to hear that I know at least one person who likes this weather :)
