Visitors coming to Herning, Part 2

Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, WA USA
On Sunday, 28 August I will be driving to Karup Airport to pick up 2 teachers from Edmonds Community College in Lynnwood, Washington, which is about 25 min north of Seattle and about 8000 kilometers from Herning.

They are PART ONE of Herning Gymnasium's Teacher Exchange Pilot Project.

Once I pick them up and drive them back to Herning, I will drop them off at their hosts for their first week in Herning. Each of them will "live" with a staff member for week one and then will move in with a different staff member for week two. This means that they will get to experience Danish culture firsthand...in a real Danish home!

Herning Gymnasium
I will then meet them at the school the next morning, ready to get them integrated into our school! They will observe a variety of classes as well as partner with a teacher from their subjects to team teach a few lessons throughout the two weeks they are with us.

One of our guests is a Math teacher at EdCC and the other teaches Chemistry-- and remember both of these subjects are taught IN DANISH at the gymnasiums in Denmark, so that means that not only are our teachers willing to try this cross-cultural exchange, but they are going to be doing so in their second language. I cannot wait to watch this project unfold.... The adventure begins on Sunday, 28 August! Stay tuned!

hey!! the thing to download is called "hot spot shield". i just found it thru google.com. (and im praying its no virus LOL!). you download it and then whenever you want to watch something restricted to america, you go to the right lower corner of the computer and turn it on so it blocks IP addresses. when you do it, there is a certain ad type window that pops up everytime, but i just leave it open and do what i need to do, then it doesnt come up when i have the tool turned off. hope that made sense :) it has been a savior lately!!! i just hope its not a virus b/c it works well :)
