And do you know what that diversity in nationalities means??? It means that we actually have 65 different kinds of English spoken at all of our events! It is amazing that we have ONE COMMON LANGUAGE between all of us, yet it sounds just a little bit different from person to person....
And this week as I have been working at the EAIE Academy in Valencia, I have been in a team of 14 other International Program Coordinators...from places like the Netherlands, Russia, England, Ireland, Spain, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Czech Republic and France.... which has meant that within our group, we have had LOTS of different kinds of English but yet, as INTERNATIONAL EDUCATORS we were all "speaking the same language" this week. During our last module of the academy, our trainers showed us this video and I JUST HAD TO SHARE! Trust me.....this will be the best 41 seconds you spend all week! You gotta LOVE LANGUAGE!!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, that was a hillarious video!!! I think you´re extremely lucky to be an expat in a place where you absolutely don´t feel alone in your experience. I can only imagine it makes being "different" so much easier when you have others to share that experience with you. Maybe someday I will live in an international expat enviornment like that!! :-)
Love this.. always cracks me up... there are loads of really funny ones on youtube.. :-) Hope you are enjoying Spain! :-)
Haha, I love that commercial! I always think it is funny when people from two non-native English countries meet and start speaking English. I am not sure how I would feel about having to use my non-native language to always communicate. It would be strange! But I'm thankful they do speak English!
Yeah, that video had me DYING! :D
Hilarious! One of my Norwegian cousins (they speak American English) married a wonderful woman who learned British English. She has an unbelievably cute accent!
Another similar and classic advertisement for a Dutch Language School

Bahaha...that made my morning! PS: Thanks again to inviting me to an International Society event. I can't wait to get settled in Herning and become an IS regular.
