iPhone Photo Dump

I got this idea from Kirstin, my American friend in Norway.... a phone dump into her blog. Not sure how many of you take pics very often with your smart phone, but I do it DAILY. Every time I see something in DK that I think is awesome or that shocks the heck outta me, I whip out my iPhone and try to DISCREETLY (read this as: "hide it enough so as not to get caught" because you know we Americans are not know for our discretion!) snap a pic of said item.

Sometimes I am not so lucky. Like Tuesday when I was in downtown Herning and there were CAMELS offering rides to young children (since they were on holiday from school). I had 2 dilemmas associated with trying to take a pic-- one I had on gloves and touch screens don't work so well with gloves and two, it was snowing and I was a little afraid to get my phone wet... so I had to rely on my ability to TELL the story when I got home. (Luckily Mads had seen the same camels in the same snow outside his downtown window at the bank so he did not think my "Camels in the snow in Herning" story was too far-fetched!)

Anyway, I digress.
The point is I take a lot of random pics on my iPhone, mostly around Herning, and they really are worth sharing.... So thanks, Kirstin, for the great idea!

The other day I was cooking a pot of gumbo on the stove and when I came into the kitchen, I saw that I had fogged up all the windows... however, it caused a message from Jess' last visit to DK to appear.....and yes, this momma was crying in the kitchen like a big baby......  Thank god I saw it one more time before this week's spring cleaning wiped those windows clean. :-(
Emmitt has been the source of all our attention the last week or so... the vet found a tumor on his forehead and we are waiting for the pathology results to find out what we can do... it is breaking our hearts....

We saw this VERY COOL granny on the road yesterday.
She was cruising along, oblivious to
all the traffic passing by her......

Thought this might come in handy if Mads ever
applies for a green card as it shows his love of all
                                                                             things red, white, and blue!

Jeff Foxworthy says, "You might be a redneck if...." and I fill in the blank with "you ride your 4-wheeler down the streets of Herning on a daily basis." I have seen this guy at least a half-dozen times and this week I was able to whip out my phone just in time!

And finally...this pic has been on my phone for a couple of weeks.....but I had to smile again when it downloaded to my computer just now..... Here is our future grandbaby. Here he/she is less than 3 centimeters, but as of today, he/she is the size of a plum! Beautiful, don't you think?

And that completes this week's iPhone Photo Dump....
Until next time.
